Missions and Outreach

Our mission and outreach work is directed by the Board of Christian Outreach. These dedicated people are responsible for distributing all the funds that are donated by the membership for financial assistance to those in need. An emphasis is put on helping those here in our own area.

During the year there are many special offerings and opportunities to contribute time, goods, or money to specific projects that are supported by the board. Some of these are:

	Food baskets for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter
	Covenant to Care—assistance to foster children
	Support of local food banks and soup kitchens
	Temporary financial assistance to families in need
	Participation in annual One Great Hour of Sharing offering and Blanket/Tool offering.

These are but a few of the many organizations and needs that are supported by our membership throughout the year. It is always our goal to use the contributions of our church family wisely, keeping always in mind, "For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink....whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 35:35–40)
